Notification letters have been sent by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) alerting relevant employers that the 2016 EEO-1 survey is now open.
The survey collects data on employee gender, race, and ethnicity. While companies' reports are confidential, this year's aggregated results will be available to the public. Private employers with more than 100 employees, as well as certain federal government contractors, are required by federal law to submit the survey by September 30, 2016.
Employers who fall into the above categories that have not received a notification letter from the EEOC should contact the EEO-1 Joint Reporting Committee immediately.
